CRLC programs span numerous service areas with myriad needs that volunteers can assist with, including:

  • Do you take delight in working with children? Search for opportunities to interact with our Early Head Start and Head Start programs.

  • Are you bilingual? Consider allocating interpretation services at our Multicultural Center.

  • Do you want to help others prosper by gaining essential workforce skills? Serve as a trainer, mock interview or resume reviewer for Training Futures.

“The staff I’ve worked with at CRLC have been so welcoming, and I appreciate that CRLC takes the time to find projects that are a good fit for us. It’s great to be a part of a community that cares for one another; one where we each do our part to give what we have to offer to make things better for others. And, as a volunteer, that’s important to know: CRLC values their volunteers.” — Stephanie, CRLC volunteer

Volunteer Spotlight

Community Advocate

“Volunteering has not only helped me attain my individual goal of strengthening my skills but has also supplied me with the opportunity to learn more about the vast range of needs in Charlotte and surrounding areas,” said Whittle. “From workforce to housing to early childhood education, CRLC is helping to meet those needs, and it’s personally gratifying to be able to use some of my gifts and abilities to help CRLC serve our community.”
CRLC is thankful for her keenness here in the office, as well as her commitment to both the organization and community.

Administrative Skills

Rani was searching for volunteer opportunities in the Charlotte area to give back to her community, as well as obtain valuable and professional exposure to assist her in the job hunt for the future and discovered CRLC.  “Volunteering with CRLC made me look at things in a new outlook,” shared Rani. “It gave me a chance to understand how I can help the community and be involved in various activities.” Rani spends her time at CRLC volunteering in multiple capacities, from participating at outreach events and even assisting with data entry at the administrative offices, where she learns about various online programs and administrative practices within the non-profit world. “Rani is an eager and passionate volunteer and we are so grateful for her and her hard work.”

“I am endlessly appreciative of your program as I'm able to see the impact it has on many lives.”
